The various books on trading tend to be very optimistic and promise great profits if you follow a particular formula.
I don’t believe that such a magic recipe exists.Its been my observation through years of trading in a variety of markets that every person is unique.
In that sense you can’t teach anyone how to make money in a particular market.You must in my view find your own individual path.
That of course is easier said than done.
I hope through this book I give you the tools to at least point you in the right direction.
Chapter 1
In my view you must find yourself before you can actually trade and make money.You may not have the personality to trade.
Perhaps you don’t handle risk well.Maybe you simply can not absorb the pressure of risking your cash.
To even consider the concept of trading a particular financial market you have to make a journey into yourself to understand if you are willing to go on a highwire without a net.
When you formulate a plan on how you wish to execute a trade there will be no one ready to catch you if you fall.
I suppose you are curious why I don’t simply give a group of illustrations on how to make a quick buck in a particular market.
I think that would be a mistake.First you have to really look at yourself and ask a simple question.Am I ready ?
Can I survive if I lose in a big way ? What is my breaking point ? Let’s face it, markets are fascinating but they can be cruel.
When things go well you can feel invincible.But when every trade is a failure it can feel devastating.If you’re not mentally strong it can really hurt.
So before you’re ready to start trading you must have an honest conversation with yourself.You can Bullshit everyone.But you must be honest with yourself.
The fact is if you are not ready to take a risk the odds are you will not succeed.
